It is with great sadness that we announce that our founder and Chairman, Fred Jamieson, passed away peacefully on Friday 16 April 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
He will be fondly remembered as one of the ‘larger than life’ characters to have graced our industry.
Fred’s life-long love of the refrigeration business started in 1954 with him becoming a service engineer in Liverpool and subsequently resulted in the formation of Ryan-Jayberg, a family orientated business that he passionately developed into a highly respected and successful Company over the past 30 years. He leaves a fine legacy and his son Nick will continue to lead Ryan-Jayberg forward into the future.
Blessed with his razor sharp wit and humour, Fred became somewhat of a legend with a huge personality and was renowned for his hard work whilst retaining an endearing sense of fun that touched everybody that knew him.
Fred’s wife Jackie, daughter Victoria and son Nick would like to thank everyone in the industry for their get well wishes to Fred throughout his illness and support to the family over the last four years.
A truly great individual, he will be sadly missed by all his friends and colleagues at Ryan-Jayberg.
